IPMS GTR MODEL CAR CLUB

The IPMS GTR modeling club meets the first Saturday of each month at the Algonquin Township offices located at 3702 US highway 14, Crystal Lake, IL from 7pm-9pm. We are a group of model car (miniatures) builders and collectors as well as real automotive enthusiasts.
Our meetings start with a short order of business followed by a “show and tell” session whereas participants bring their models and other automotive related memorabilia items to the meeting. Once a year the club hosts an “NNL (peer judged) style show/contest where as we invite model car enthusiasts to exhibit their models for “best of” award competition as judged by their peer show participants. Additionally, the club hosts a free pizza luncheon for all paid participants of the show and we allow vendors to “sell out of their car trunks” at no extra charge in the townships clean and spacious parking lot.
The club is and has been a long standing and continuous member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).
