Township Services
Voters Services
Residents of Algonquin Township may register to vote at any time
at the Township offices at 3702 US Highway 14 between Cary and
Crystal Lake. Voter registration closes 28 days before each
election.
The Algonquin Township Clerk opens the Township offices to
registered voters for Early Voting from 22 days to 3 days before
each election.
Absentee Balloting takes place during the 3
days prior to each election. Both Early Voting and Absentee Balloting are
conducted during the week and on weekends at the Clerk's office at the
Township.
Notary Public Services are available during regular business hours at the
Supervisor's, Road District and Assessors offices.
Township Building
Room use is available for community use. The lighted sign on the front of the
property is also available for community announcements.
Coast2Coast Rx Card
The FREE Prescription Discount Card. The card is
primarily for uninsured and underinsured, although those with
insurance can also use the card if they have a high co-pay for
generic drugs or if their drug isn't covered in their health plan.
Other benefits are savings of 50% to 80% on lab tests and
similar savings on imaging services. The lab tests are with Lab
Corp, the nations leading lab testing company.

General Assistance
Temporary financial assistance for Algonquin Township residents who qualify and meet
regulations may be available.
McHenry County Health
Department
Water testing bottles are available at the township building for
people with wells and septic. The
county will test the samples and bill participants for the
service.
Flu shots are available in the
fall and will be advertised. Appointments are made with the

Childhood immunizations are held
on the last Tuesday of each month. Call the Health Department for
appointments at

Ordinance Form for
Regulating the Cutting of overgrown Grass in Unincorporated Residential
areas of Algonquin Township, and an ordinance Form for Garbage, Weeds &
In-Operable Motor Vehicles. Please mail or bring in signed
complaint
form to the Supervisors Office.
Specialized Recycling
March thru October the township offers specialized recycling.

Senior Citizens Services
Golden Diner lunch is served on the first and third Monday of each
month. Bingo is also played on the first and third Monday. Call the

The township has RTA Senior
Permit applications for people over 65 and those with
disabilities. Your picture will be taken at no cost. For
further information please check their website.

driver placard are available at the
township office.
Income tax assistance sponsored by AARP ,
is offered during the tax season.
Free Senior Computer classes
are offered every other Tuesday's. Call the Supervisors office to sign up

Chair Yoga for Seniors, Thursdays from 10:30-11:30am Here in the lower
level $6 a class no registration necessary.

SWAT (Striders, Walkers, and Talkers) meets every Wednesday at 8:45
AM for coffee, pastries and walking. The walk usually takes place at
the Hollows, which is next door to the Township building. SWAT
occasionally takes the Township bus to another McHenry County
Conservation District locations.
