Township Services
Voters Services
Residents of Algonquin Township may register to vote at any time
at the Township offices at 3702 US Highway 14 between Cary and
Crystal Lake. Voter registration closes 28 days before each
election.
The Algonquin Township Clerk opens the Township offices to
registered voters for Early Voting from 22 days to 3 days before
each election.
Absentee Balloting takes place during the 3
days prior to each election. Both Early Voting and Absentee Balloting are
conducted during the week and on weekends at the Clerk's office at the
Township.
Notary Public Services are available during regular business hours at the
Supervisor's, Road District and Assessors offices.
Township Building
Room use is available for community use. The lighted sign on the front of the
property is also available for community announcements.
General Assistance
Temporary financial assistance for Algonquin Township residents who qualify and meet
regulations may be available.
McHenry County Health
Department
Water testing bottles are available at the township building for
people with wells and septics. The
county will test the samples and bill participants for the
service.
Flu shots are available in the
fall and will be advertised.
Childhood immunizations are held
on the last Tuesday of each month. Call the Health Department for
appointments at (815) 334-4510
Specialized Recycling
March thru October the township offers specialized recycling.

Senior Citizens Services
Golden Diner lunch is served on the first and third Monday of each
month. Bingo is also played on the first and third Monday. Call the
Supervisors office for a reservation. (847) 639-2700 X 7
The township has RTA Senior Ride
Free applications for people over 65 and those with
disabilities. Your picture will be taken at no cost. For
further information please check their website.

Forms for applying for the
assessment freeze, circuit breaker and handicap
driver placard are available at the
township office.
Income tax assistance sponsored by AARP ,
is offered during the tax season.
SWAT (Striders, Walkers, and
Talkers) meets every Wednesday at 8:45 AM for coffee, pastries and
walking. The walk usually takes place at the Hollows, which is next
door to the Township building. SWAT occasionally takes the Township bus to another area for
their activity.

offered throughout the year. Call the Supervisors office to sign up

Algonquin Township Senior Bus
Make reservations by calling the Highway Department at (847)
639-2700 ext.6. The cost is $1.00 each way per
trip.
