RXMatch Program

As of April 10, 2006 the Township is a location for the RXMatch program. This is an Illinois program designed to help low income people access medication through the pharmaceutical companies at no cost.  Some restrictions apply, not all drugs are covered and the list of covered drugs tends to change.  Trained volunteers staff much of the program.  For more information call Heather McDougall at 815-337-0732.

Senior Services Transportation

Are you a stay-at-home parent who would like to volunteer and still include your children?  Do you work, but would like to volunteer for a worthwhile project?  Or are you retired, and looking for a way to help the community but not get involved in an ongoing commitment?  Being a volunteer driver for a senior who can no longer drive him or herself could make both your lives more fulfilling.

Anyone with a valid drivers License and proof of insurance is eligible to become a volunteer driver.  Each applicant is carefully screened, including a background check, to insure the safety of our seniors.

A little of your time can truly make a world of difference to a housebound senior.  For more information on how you can be a part of this important program, call Sue Pruchniak, Senior Services Transportation Coordinator, at 815-344-3555.  Do it today! You'll be glad you did.
